We are seeking an experienced Senior EMI/EMC Engineer to join our Air Dominance & Strike Electrical Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) solutions for electronic products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
•
Conduct EMI/EMC testing and analysis on electronic systems and components.
•
Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities.
•
Develop and implement design strategies to mitigate EMI/EMC issues.
•
Prepare test plans, reports, and documentation for compliance verification.
Requirements:
•
Identify program EMI/EMC risks and define strategies for reducing risk through the definition of modeling, simulation, or experimental activities.
•
Stay updated on relevant standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, DOD-160, FCC, CISPR, IEC) and regulatory requirements.
•
Conduct field tests and assessments to evaluate product performance in real-world environments.
•
Work in a fast-paced environment, having to juggle multiple concurrent projects and customers.
•
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
•
7+ years of experience in EMI/EMC design and testing.
•
Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, RTCA DOD-160, FCC, IEC, CISPR, SAE).
•
Proven expertise in E3 design, analysis, testing and mitigation strategies. Specialized in HERO, HEMP, Lightning Protection, ESD, RF exposure limits and operational electromagnetic compatibility.
•
Proficiency in using EMI/EMC testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISN etc.)
•
Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CST Microwave Studio) for EMI analysis.
•
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•
Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design.
