Echodyne is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer, Radar Development to join our fast-growing team. This is an exempt role.
Requirements:
•
Define and maintain radar system architecture across hardware, firmware, algorithms, and product interfaces
•
Lead system-level performance closure through analytical means such as modeling/simulation and field data interpretation
•
Enable integration readiness through collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW leads
•
Establish verification philosophy in partnership with integration/test leadership, including verification strategy, requirement coverage, traceability, and reporting
•
Serve as a principal technical voice in roadmap and design reviews, teaming with product, manufacturing, and customer support teams
•
Experience leading systems engineering for products spanning RF/mixed-signal electronics, embedded firmware/OS, and application software
•
Experience with common engineering tooling such as Python/MATLAB and systems debugging at HW/SW boundaries
•
Familiarity with radar systems, RF design, or sensing technologies
•
Experience delivering radar products into commercial markets
•
Radar domain knowledge sufficient to lead architecture decisions across waveform/mode considerations and environmental constraints; hands-on experience with FMCW and/or pulse Doppler radar systems preferred
•
Exposure to radar algorithms and technology improvements such as clutter mitigation, interference suppression, calibration, and tracking/state estimation such as Kalman filtering
•
BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or similar
