You will work with a tight-need team of engineers and technicians to bring new space products to life through circuit board assembly, rework, integration, and test, playing a key role in turning the company’s vision into reality. Responsibilities:
Assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards in an engineering lab environment.
Integrate and test boxes made up of these boards, such as phased array boxes and advanced digital-to-RF processing units.
Solve technical problems with advanced rework skills and electronics knowledge.
Design, build, and test harnesses for space and airborne systems.
Manage the engineering lab, working with engineers and other technicians to maintain lab processes, equipment calibration, and consumables.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and other technicians in a cooperative and fast-paced environment.
Mentor more junior technicians and engineers, sharing your knowledge and skills with the team.
Author and conduct lab trainings for engineers and technicians, such as ESD training and lab organization.
Requirements:
9 years of experience as an electronics lab technician.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Significant assembly and rework experience with sensitive SMT components, such as RF amplifiers or BGAs.
Strong ability to perform intricate hand reworks, using fine-pitched wire and creative orientations of 0402 components to solve technical problems.
Experience with lab equipment for testing, such as high-speed oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads.
Experience building wire harnesses.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills for working with a tight-knit team and documenting results.
